The Dalema

It is what it is, it’s not what it’s not
Sometimes it’s a win, sometimes it’s a loss
Sometimes in life the roads are paived
Sometimes in life the skies are gray

Here we are judging each other
Life’s more than just your Facebook cover
And you can smile and post another pic
But it’s really so much more than this

So judge as you will – judge as you must
Have your friends – those you trust
At the end of the day,
things aren’t like your dreams –
You see what people show
Things aren’t as they seem.

Sometimes she is lost
Other times she is found
Either way, no matter what
The world keeps spinning ’round

Sometimes she is weak
Other times she is strong
Either way, regardless
It doesn’t feel right or wrong

Sometimes she feels complete
Other times, just empty
Either way, she’s insecure
Happiness is tempting

Sometimes she’s independent
Other times, sick with need
Either way, no matter how long
She hasn’t found who she’s meant to be.
